Investigating residents' perceptions of tourism impacts is a good way to analyze the tourism impacts status. The residents' perceptions of tourism impacts were investigated by e fuzzy synthetic evaluation. An index system for evaluating residents' perceptions of tourism impacts was designed and the weighted vectors of the index were defined by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method after the basic attributes were determined and a hierarchical framework was formed. The weighted evaluation matrices were aggregated and defuzzifyed to determine the residents' perceptions. A case study in Chinese Jiu Zhaigou national park is given to demonstrate this method.
