The Assessment of Knowledge Work Based on Knowledge Quantity

This article points out that knowledge quantity is an important index for knowledge work difficulty assessment. Based on the discussion on the relation among information quantity, teaching time and knowledge quantity, it establishes the mapping between social standard teaching time and knowledge quantity according to BROOKES fundamental equation of information science. This article proposes the measuring principle and method for knowledge quantity measurement based on standard social teaching time according to the knowledge representation system. Finally, it gives an example to explain the calculation for the measurement of the postbased knowledge quantity.
