Abstract:Drawing upon the conservation of resources theory, this study explores the role of recovery activities at weekends that may help entrepreneurs better cope with the negative impact of challenge/hindrance stressors on well-being. The study analyzes data from 115 entrepreneurs for 5 consecutive weeks through the experience sampling methodology (ESM)and finds that:①entrepreneurial well-being in the following week shows negative relationship with hindrance stressors in the week before but no positive relationship with challenging stressors.②Relaxation activities at weekends significantly strengthen the positive relationship between challenging stressors and entrepreneurial well-being.③Learning activities at weekends notably mitigate the negative relationship between hindrance stressors and entrepreneurial well-being.
