Abstract:Using a longitudinal case study, based on the organizational ambidexterity learning, this study opens up the process of organizational transformation under constraints. The results show that the process of organizational change and transformation is accomplished through continuous adjustment of “exploration-exploitation”. In this process, constraints play a very important role. On the one hand, constraints promote organizational innovation and development by breaking the inertia of organizational exploitative, and on the other hand, constraints promote organizational adjustment between “exploration-exploitative”, which makes the direction of behavior more focused and reduces the risk of uncertainty in the process of transformation. Finally, through the process of “exploration-exploitative”, the organization can gradually acquire the ambidexterity learning ability, thus promoting the continuous change and development of the organization.
