Construction of Selection Standard for Clinical Teachers of Nursing Postgraduates with Professional Degree

Abstract: Objective To develop a standard for selecting clinical teachers for nursing postgraduates with professional degree. Methods After literature review and expert consultation, correspondence indexes were formed and 35 nursing experts from 15 provinces and cities completed two-round inquiries by Delphi method. Results After two rounds of inquiry, the opinions of experts tended to be consistent, with the authority coefficients of experts of 0.821 and 0.853 respectively, and Kendall's harmony coefficients of 0.225 and 0.296 respectively (P<0.01). The final selection standard for clinical teachers for nursing postgraduates with professional degree included 10 items of teaching qualification, 5 core competencies and 35 evaluation items related to core competencies. Conclusion The selection standard of clinical teachers for nursing postgraduates with professional degree is comprehensive and representative, which provides reference for reasonable selection of clinical teachers.
