Construction of clinical crisis-based case library for nursing team training in operating room

Abstract: Objective To build a case library of clinical crisis events in the operating room and to provide reference for nursing team training in clinical crisis in operating room. Methods A case library construction team was formed to develop the draft framework through group discussions. Delphi method was used to conduct 2 rounds of correspondence with 16 experts. The framework content was optimized based on expert advice. A case library of clinical crisis events was thus established. Results Following the steps of case collection, sorting, writing, review and entry, 12 compiled cases of clinical crisis events, 4 thematic PPTs, 1 TeamSTEPPS tool manual, and 4 thematic videos as information communication media were included in the case library. Conclusion Rich content and diverse forms of presentation are presented in the established case library of clinical crisis events, and it provides abundant case resources to support team training in clinical crisis in operating rooms in China.
