Abstract

Using latent profile analysis, two questionnaire surveys were conducted to systematically examine the configuration types of age stereotype threat coping strategies among older employees and their effects on physical and mental health. The results revealed three distinct latent profiles of coping strategies, namely the voice profile, the avoidance profile, and the striving profile. Moreover, significant different effects on physical and mental health were observed across different coping strategy profiles. Specifically, older employees who adopted the striving profile were reported to be the highest levels of physical and mental health, followed by those with the voice profile, whereas those with the avoidance profile exhibited the lowest levels.
