The Realization Mechanism of Project Management Operationalization in the Context of Digitalization: A Case Study of Huawei
LAI Yuanyuan,GAO Shang,ZHOU Jing,NING Yan
Taking Huawei as an example, and based on the unity of opposites between projects and operations in the context of digitalization, the mechanism of project management operationalization is constructed. This study has the following conclusions: the digital platform has the characteristics of resource agglomeration, efficiency improvement, and diversity connection. Based on the digital platform, the project-based mode and operational advantages can co-exist. Enterprises can realize a seamless link between standard operation and customized project management through the homogenized deconstruction of multi-project tasks, the standardized operation of homogeneous units, and the customized combination of standardized components. A new organizational form of multi-functional operation “center” has been developed for operation organizations in collaboration with projects. The function of operation organizations has changed from control into empowerment. And the structure has changed from the functional system into the flat structure. At the same time, enterprises should formulate coordination mechanisms to avoid the mismatch of power and responsibility as well as blocked communication.

Management Research Facing Practice: Theoretical Basis and Development Path
SU Jingqin,HE Xinyue,HAN Shaojie
Firstly, aiming at the problems of inconsistent understanding, non-normative methods, and fragmented research in the current management research facing practice, this study constructs a four-theoretic framework covering ontology, epistemology, methodology and axiology on the basis of the existing philosophical views in the academic field. Secondly, under the four-theoretic framework, we clarify the ontology, epistemological principles, methodological system and value attribution of management research facing practice, forming a theoretical basis for the unity of values and basic positions. Finally, based on the clarification of the theoretical basis, corresponding thoughts and suggestions are put forward for the development path of indigenous theories facing practice, contributing to the construction of the indigenous management theory system and the great progress of Chinese management disciplines.

Research on the Impact of Multiple Large Shareholders on Asset Divestiture Strategy
ZHANG Yujing,XUE Youzhi,ZHANG Rongrong
Using samples of Chinese A-share listed firms during 2007~2020, this study investigates the impact of multiple large shareholders on asset divestitures. The result shows that multiple large shareholders could reduce asset divestitures by alleviating executive self-interest behaviors and financing constraints. Further research finds that multiple large shareholders reduce the divestiture of non-related assets and non-strategic asset divestiture that are not conducive to the long-term development of enterprises. The negative effects are more significant in the absence of cross-ownership and unpledged shareholders’ equity. Multiple large shareholders can enhance corporate value by reducing asset divestitures.

Research on the Spillover Effects of Peer Positive Environmental Protection Narratives for Green Investments
QIAN Ming,LYU Minghan,SHEN Yi
This study used machine-learning based word vector technology to build an environmental dictionary, measured corporate positive environmental protection narratives (PEN), and then examined the spillover effect of peer PEN on corporate green investments (GI). Results show that peer PEN has a positive effect on GI, but this effect is constrained by the reliability of peer information and the financing constraints of focal enterprises. Mechanism analysis shows that competition stimulation and confidence transmission contribute to the abovementioned effect. Furthermore, the study finds that the focal firm is more susceptible to the influence of peer PEN with a higher proportion of forward-looking, innovative and specific information, and confirms that the spillover effect of peer PEN does not significantly differ in different carries. In addition, the study shows the predictive capability of PEN for green innovation.

A Theoretical Construction Study on the Influence of Organizational Dual Immunity on Adaptive Performance in the Post-Epidemic Period
NI Qing,ZHANG Li,ZHAO Shuming,DU Pengcheng,CHEN Yun1
Based on the organizational immunity theory and organizational advantage theory, this study develops a theoretical framework of organizational dual immunity affecting organizational adaptive performance. The study concluded that organizational immunity not only has the dual characteristics of psychological immunity and behavioral immunity, but also possesses dynamic attributes such as self-organization, self-learning, and self-adaptation; organizational dual immunity has a “Excessiveness leads to deficiency” effect on adaptive performance; organizational immunity performance plays a mediating role between organizational dual immunity and adaptive performance; health-promoting leadership, flexible organizational structure, and environmental uncertainty moderate the effects of organizational dual immunity on adaptive performance.

The Study on the Adjustment Stage Model of Perceiving Work-Related Identity Discrepancy of Followers of the Former Leader after Leadership Alteration
LIU Chang-E,PAN Weiqi,AI Yueguang,WANG Shan,HUANG Jie,LIU Tingting
This research combines qualitative and quantitative methods to construct an adjustment stage model of discrepancy of the followers of the former leader. Study 1 codes 60 interview materials in an open, axial and alternative way by applying procedural grounded theory. And 40 interview materials are used to test whether the theory reaches saturation. A preliminary adjustment stage model of perceiving work identity discrepancy of followers of the former leaders is constructed. It shows preliminarily that adjustment stage model has five stages. 1 152 valid questionnaires are obtained in study 2. They are divided into four datasets according to the self-evaluation of work-related identity discrepancy adjustment. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis are conducted for the model. The results show that the adjustment stage includes both success and failure outcomes. The successful adaption is consisted of five stages: emotional dependence, perceived work-related identity discrepancy, negative emotional expression, positive response and good adaptation. And maladaptation is consisted of five stages: emotional dependence, perceived work-related identity discrepancy, negative emotional expression, negative response and maladjustment.

The Relationship between Humble Leadership and Employee Proactive Behavior and Potential Moderating Effects: A Meta-Analysis
YANG Jie,FU Yuting,ZHANG Yucheng,YUAN Shengjun
We conducted a meta-analysis of 76 studies with a total sample size of 28 498 to examine the relationship between humble leadership and employee proactive behaviors (EPB for short), as well as contextual and methodological moderators of this link. The results revealed that humble leadership was significantly and positively related to EPB at both the individual and group levels. Cultural dimensions moderated the influence of humble leadership on EPB. In addition, organizational type, data source diversity, and research methods also moderated the humble leadership-EPB relationship. Future research should explore humble leadership’s differential effects across dimensions, identify situational specifics that strengthen or weaken its impact, and develop a nuanced conceptualization of employee proactivity.

The Double-Edged Sword Effects of Leader Narcissism on Team Radical Creativity
ZHOU Kong,YING Xueqing,ZHANG Zhaoguo,LIU Zhiqiang
Drawing from the self-regulatory processing model, this study proposes a double-edged sword effect of leader narcissism on team radical creativity. Through a four-wave survey, the results showed that leaders’ narcissism was positively related to leaders’ information closing, and leaders’ information closing negatively affected team information elaboration, which further negatively influenced team radical creativity. Additionally, leaders’ narcissism was positively related to leaders’ novel information searching, and leaders’ novel information searching positively affected team members’ novel information searching, which further positively influenced team radical creativity. Leaders’ perceived organizational valuing of creativity weakened the positive relationship between leaders’ narcissism and leaders’ information closing, but strengthened the positive relationship between leaders’ narcissism and leaders’ novel information searching.

The Effect of Heterogeneous Performance Feedback on Cooperative Innovation Quantity and Quality
CHEN Yongheng,SU Taoyong,MAO Yufei
Based on the behavioral theory of the firm and organizational learning theory, using unbalanced panel data of biopharmaceutical manufacturing firms from 2008 to 2020 in China, we analyze how heterogeneous performance feedback influences the quantity and quality of cooperative innovation, and the moderating effects of overconfident executives. Tobit’ s empirical test shows positive historical performance feedback improves the quantity and quality, while positive peer performance feedback has opposite effect. Negative historical performance feedback reduces the quantity and improves the quality. Negative peer performance feedback enhances the quantity. Overconfident executives pay more attention to the quality in the(positive and negative)historical performance feedback situation, and pay more attention to the quantity in the positive peer performance feedback situation. Through further examination of the geographical characteristics of cooperators, we found that firms are more inclined to cooperate with local(non-local) firms when pursuing the quality(quantity)of innovation.

The Influence of Design Thinking on Business Model Innovation Under the Double-Edged Sword Effect of Digital Intelligence Environment
SHANG Yanying,JIANG Junfeng,YU Liqi
Through the empirical test of 412 enterprises, the study discusses the effect of design thinking on business model innovation (BMI) in the digital intelligence environment, and identifies its boundary conditions. The research shows that trial-and-error and evaluation of design thinking have significant positive effects on the novelty and efficiency of BMI respectively, while iteration of design thinking have significant positive effects on the novelty and efficiency of BMI simultaneously. The positive relationship between trial and error and the novelty of BMI, as well as the positive relationship between iteration and the novelty and efficiency of BMI, is regulated by the inverted U-shape of the digital intelligence environment. However, the inverted U-shaped moderating effect of the digital intelligence environment on the positive relationship between assessment and the efficiency of BMI is not significant.

The Impact of Consumption Privileges on Residents’ Consumption Intention in the Context of Community Commerce
YANG Hanqin,ZHANG Sha
In the context of community commerce, this study examines the effects and mechanisms of consumption privileges on residents’ consumption intention. Drawing upon the social identification theory, a theoretical model is developed and empirically tested through two experiments. The results show that consumption privileges have a positive impact on residents’ consumption intention. This effect is mediated by community attachment. The relationship between consumption privileges and community attachment is moderated by consumers’ community distribution and age. Specifically, compared with residents living in urban core areas, consumption privileges have a stronger positive impact on community attachment of residents living in urban periphery areas. Compared to young and middle-aged residents, the impact of consumption privileges on community attachment among elderly residents is more significantly pronounced.

The Influence of Identity Breadth on the Immoral Behavior of Tourists
LI Xue,ZHU Li,ZHANG Wei
Based on the social identity theory, this study constructs a theoretical framework of the effect of travel identity breadth in tourism consumers on immoral behaviors, reveals the mediating role of moral judgment, and explores the moderating role of the individual self-construction level of tourism consumers. This study designs two experiments to test all hypotheses. The results show that ①the breadth of the travel identity of tourist consumers negatively affects immoral behavior;②moral judgment plays a mediating role in the relationship between the breadth of the travel identity and immoral behavior; ③the individual self-construction level can moderate the relationship between the breadth of travel identity and moral judgment, specifically, the level of independent self-construction negatively moderates the relationship between the breadth of the travel identity and moral judgment; the level of dependent self-construction positively moderates the relationship between the breadth of the travel identity and moral judgment.

Research on the Influence of SME Digital Capability on Supply Chain Financing Performance Based on Transaction Cost Theory
LU Qiang,DENG Yang,SONG Hua
Based on transaction cost theory, this study explores the underlying mechanism through which SME(Small and Medium-sized Enterprise) digital capability affects supply chain financing performance by reducing opportunism, and analyzing the contextual role of asset-specific and relationship-specific investments in the relationship between SME digital capability and opportunism. The results of the empirical analysis on a sample of 384 SMEs show that: The digital capability of SMEs positively affects the supply chain financing performance; opportunism has an intermediary role between the digital capability of SMEs and the financing performance of the supply chain; both asset-specific investment and relationship-specific investment can enhance the digital capability of SMEs and reduce the risk of opportunism. However, when higher asset-specific investment and higher relationship-specific investment are combined, it will, to a certain extent, replace the inhibitory effect of SMEs’ digital capabilities on opportunism.

Research on Monitoring Quality and Pricing Decisions of Remote Diagnostic Services for Products
SUN Mingyao,CHAI Qiangfei,WU Feng
Results of remote diagnosis are always imperfect because of the data quality problem. Improving the monitoring quality can improve the diagnostic accuracy, but at the same time will increase the investment cost. Thus, service providers need to weigh these two decisions. This study develops a strategic queuing model to study the service provider’s optimal monitoring quality and service price decisions. In addition, the effect of diagnostic time on the equilibrium is investigated. The results show that if the monitoring quality and diagnostic time are independent, there exists a maximum value point that maximizes the service provider’s profit and the optimal monitoring quality and diagnostic time are complementary. However, if the monitoring quality and diagnostic time are correlated, the service provider’s profit increases with the monitoring quality. We also show that the users’ join-or-balk strategy depends on not only the service provider’s decisions, but also the demand potential.

The Impact of Joint Credit System on Corporate Diversification
SHEN Lu,XIANG Rui
This study constructs a quasi-natural experiment based on the implementation of the Measures for the Administration of Joint Credit, and uses PSM-DID model to explore the impact of joint credit system on corporate diversification. The study shows that the joint credit system significantly restrains the corporate diversification, and the inhibitory effect is more significantly in corporates with high equity concentration or high environmental uncertainty, which supports the view of effective regulation. The mechanism test shows that enhancing the degree of bank competition, restraining the collusion between banks and corporates, and reducing the degree of corporate information asymmetry are the mechanisms through which the joint credit system works. The heterogeneity tests show that joint credit system mainly restrains corporates from carrying out unrelated diversification. The economic consequences test confirms that joint credit system enhances the value of the corporates by restraining corporate diversification.

Research on the Generation Mechanism of Trade Credit Based on Preferential Tax Rate
WU Dongmei,LI Shaozhi,LIU Yunguo
Starting from the feature of “government certification” of tax rate preference, the study empirically tested the generation mechanism and economic consequences of trade credit in the context of differential enterprise tax rate. The research found that: The greater the tax rate preference enjoyed by enterprises, the more trade credit obtained by them; The government certification feature of preferential tax rate can promote the trade credit financing of enterprises by stimulating the quality of earnings information, and different supply chain concentration will have different effects on the trade credit effect of preferential tax rate, which together build a dual mechanism of the channel and regulation of trade credit; The trade credit based on preferential tax rate has realized the positive drive to the enterprise value; The incentive of preferential tax rate on trade credit is more obvious in enterprises with low bank loan level and low revenue scale, but there is no significant difference between the small-micro and non-small-micro enterprises. The research shows that: Tax rate preference can increase the credit of enterprises; Improving the multi-dimensional disclosure of corporate tax rate and other information, as well as expanding multi-level supervision covering different entities’ financial behavior, will help further improve the effectiveness of credit enhancement.
