Abstract Aiming at the long line and the teller scheduling problem in banks and on the basis of the systematic analysis for the specific constraints of teller scheduling, this paper constructs a teller scheduling model based on queuing theory and integer programming. The model is solved with CPLEX, the optimal solution shows that the waiting time of customer is under control, and the optimal solution also obeys the inner controlling mechanism of bank and the labor law and policy. This paper provides an effective and practical solution for the long line problem and teller scheduling.
