The Relationship between Innovation Inclusiveness and Business Model Design

Abstract  Based on business ecosystem theory and the theory of constraints, this study analyzes the impact of innovation inclusiveness on business model design, and the moderating role of competitive strategy. The empirical results shows that low-cost competitive strategy weakens the positive effect of innovation inclusiveness on novelty-centered business model design, but it strengthens the positive effect of innovation inclusiveness on efficiency-centered business model design. The moderating role of differentiation competitive strategy between innovation inclusiveness and novelty-centered business model design is not significant, while the moderating effects is positive betweeninnovation inclusiveness and efficiency-centered business model design.
