Abstract Based on the brief summary of the 10 keynote speeches and subsequent discussions in the “China Management 50 Forum” (October 20, 2018 in Jinan), this paper presents six academic issues, including globalization and China’s contextual background, the relationship between theory and practice, the responsibility and mission of management scholars, management research paradigm, the reform and development of Chinese business schools and other management issues in practice. These issues reflect the current situation and challenges of Chinese management research, so as to inspire scholars’ future research and promote the development of Chinese management research.
