Abstract

This paper introduces theories of evolutionary psychology, reviews their applications in information systems (IS) studies conducted by overseas researchers, and analyses the limitations of existing researches. The reference value of the theories for IS research is also discussed in details. According to the theories of group level adaptations in evolutionary psychology, this paper proposes a group level research framework, which is illustrated by an example. The extension at the group level provides reference for IS research and other fields.
