Abstract  Drawing on socially shared cognition perspective and information/decision making perspective, this study developed a mediated moderation model to explore the impact of separation in team member learning goal orientation on team creativity. Based on a sample consisted of 428 paired questionnaires between leaders and their direct subordinates from 38 enterprises and 79 teams. The results revealed that separation in team member learning goal orientation suppresses team creativity, which was partly mediated by team learning behavior. Furthermore, shared team vision significantly attenuated the negative effect of separation in learning goal orientation on team creativity and the indirect effect through team learning behavior.
