Abstract The introduction of overseas modern management science which has been developing for 30 years in China has formed up a series of branch disciplines and marginal branch disciplines according to Chinese management practice. This paper argues that for the sustainable development of Chinese management science, the basic countermeasures should be implemented, which are cultivating elite research team, localizing the academic structure, constructing equilibrium management discipline system, etc.
