Abstract After analyzing 114 MBA students’ descriptive statistics of selfreports on their working state and four typical statement cases, the study found that: 1) staff can show the characteristics of outrole behaviors in the performance of the inrole behaviors, namely overloaded behaviors of inrole and inadequate behaviors of inrole; 2) outrole behaviors are either conducive behaviors , organizational behavior or "helpless outrole behavior" and 3) the outrole behaviors made by stuff are different due to human relationship. Therefore, this paper constructs a theoretical framework of outrole behaviors in the two dimensions of constructive organizational behaviors and destructive organizational behaviors in the Chinese context. It examines the relationship between outrole and inrole behaviors, and provides a new revelation for further study on Chinese characteristics of out role behaviors.
