The Interaction between Parent and Subsidiary Companies,Knowledge Creation and Break through Innovation:An Explorative Case Study Based on Chinese Zhongcai Group

Abstract:In this study, the theoretical framework about the effective mechanism between company interaction styles and breakthrough innovation has been built. Then, taking Chinese Zhongcai group as the case study object, the paper describes the construction of the system and innovation route, The research findings are that the different relation characters and assorts between parent company and the subsidiary are the key of company knowledge creation and breakthrough innovation, the new knowledge, emerging knowledge and original knowledge play important roles in the breakthrough innovation. The autonomic interaction has significant advantage on the creation of emerging knowledge, however, the dependent interaction does better on new and original knowledge. The autonomic one is better than the dependent one on breakthrough innovation of the subsidiary company.
