Education blog has become an important platform of sharing knowledge among college faculty in our country. Based on traditional culture perspective, we developed a theoretical model involving traditional culture and knowledge sharing intention of college faculty in education blog. The empirical results show that: (1) guanxi orientation and collectivism orientation positively affect knowledge sharing intention; (2) face orientation and harmony orientation negatively affect knowledge sharing intention; (3) there is no significant relationship between renqing orientation and knowledge sharing intention. This study not only confirms traditional culture is the key variable affecting knowledge sharing intention of college faculty in education blog, but also provides some meaningful references and suggestions for the follow-up study to explore the mechanism of traditional culture affecting individual knowledge sharing intention in other scenarios.
