Abstract:The paper explains what the social network analysis is through distinguishing the three important concepts, social network paradigm, social network analysis method, and social network theory. It proves that the social network theory is a useful supplement to organization theory through comparing the differences of their research problems and research hypotheses. Finally, it summarizes the current status of the organization network analysis study, points out the deficiency of present Chinese organization network analysis, and provides proposals to future research directions.
