Construction of virtual reality-based curriculum ideology and politics teaching case base in course of midwifery

Abstract: Objective To construct virtual reality (VR)-based "curriculum ideology and politics" teaching case base of in the course of Midwifery, to promote the integration of ideological and political education and modern information technology, to further enrich the theoretical research on the collaborative development of Midwifery and virtual technology, and stimulate the professional identity and sense of responsibility of midwifery students. Methods Based on the six ideological and political sections of political identity, devotion to family and country, cultural literacy, legal literacy, moral accomplishment and professional literacy, a VR-based teaching case base of "curriculum ideology and politics" was constructed for the course of Midwifery from the perspectives of midwives, pregnant women, families and witnesses. Results A total of 103 "curriculum ideology and politics" cases were sorted out in terms of political identity, devotion to family and country, cultural literacy, legal literacy, moral accomplishment, and professional literacy. Conclusion The VR-based teaching case base of "curriculum ideology and politics" for the course of Midwifery provides reference for the "curriculum ideology and politics" construction of this discipline.
