We-chat-based Blended Teaching in Teaching of Medical Nursing for High Vocational Nursing Students

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of blending teaching based on We-chat platform in the teaching of Medical Nursing for high vocational nursing students. Methods Totally 115 nursing students were divided into observation group (n=57) and control group (n=58). Blending teaching based on We-chat platform was performed in the observation group, while routine teaching in the control group. Student satisfaction with the teaching, examination performance and autonomous learning ability of students in the two groups were compared. Results Nursing students in the observation group were more satisfied with the teaching and they performed better in the examination. The total scores of self-learning ability, self-management ability and learning cooperation ability of students in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Blending teaching based on We-chat platform is effective for improving autonomous learning ability of nursing students and the teaching effect.
