Risk Factors of Fear of Childbirth Based on Decision Tree Model and Logistic Regression Model

Abstract: Objective To identify the influence factors of fear of childbirth in primiparas by using logistic regression and chi-squared automatic interaction detector, to provide scientific basis for future intervention. Methods A total of 305 primiparas from a tertiary grade A hospital in Hunan Province were surveyed with questionnaires and logistic regression and decision tree model were used to determine the influence factors of fear of childbirth. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that low self-rated state of health, using pregnancy-related Apps or not, perinatal health literacy and positive psychological capital were the main factors. Decision tree model analysis showed positive psychological capital and perinatal health literacy were the influencing factors. The comparison of the analysis results of the two models shows that the analysis accuracy rate of the decision tree model(80.0%) was higher than that of the logistic regression model (78.0%). Conclusion Decision tree model demonstrates high application value in identifying risk factors of fear of childbirth, which provides reference for the intervention of fear of childbirth.
