Influence Factors of Self-management Behavior of Patients with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Abstract: Objective To investigate the self-management behavior of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention and to analyze the influence factors. Methods A total of 208 patients were investigated by using the Coronary Artery Disease Self-management Scale, Medical Coping Style Questionnaire, Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire and Family APGAR Index. Results The self-management score was (82.51±11.45) 3 months after the operation. Multiple regression analysis showed that education background, living status, illness perception, family function, and coping style could explain 60.8% of the variation of self-management behavior. Conclusion The self-management of patients after PCI is at a moderately low level. Medical staff should pay attention to the patients' cognition on the disease and the influence of family function on patient's self-management behavior.
