A Study on Influential Factors of the Establishment of Trade Unions in Enterprises from the Perspective of Cost-Benefit
LUO Lianfa,LIU Peiyao,YE Chusheng
Based on the Chinese Employer-Employee Survey Data (CEES), the study has verified that enterprise unions still play a positive role in coordinating labor relations. Furthermore, a cost-benefit analysis framework is applied to explore possible factors affecting the establishment of unions in enterprises through CEES data. The research finds that the probability of establishing a trade union is positively correlated with the size of employees, but negatively correlated with the intensity of collection and payment of trade union dues. Macro data shows that the average scale of enterprises in China has decreased, and the collection and payment of trade union dues has become more strict, all of which are changing in the direction of reducing the number of trade unions. Therefore, this paper puts forward four main policy suggestions to strengthen the construction of enterprise trade unions: ① strengthening the construction of trade union in small, medium and micro enterprises; ② accelerating the construction of smart-union platforms; ③ innovating the collection and payment mechanism of trade union dues and reducing the cost of dues; ④ strengthening the driving role of party organizations in trade unions.

A Mixed-Methods Study on the Causes and Alleviation Strategies of Gig Workers’ Loneliness and Powerlessness
LIANG Xiaojie,CAO Jianing,YU Guilan
Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, this study explores the causes, effects, and alleviation strategies of loneliness and powerlessness among gig workers. First, based on the job characteristics model, we conducted qualitative research to uncover the reasons behind gig workers’ feelings of loneliness and powerlessness, as well as strategies to alleviate them. The study found that a threefold isolation—spatial, emotional, and algorithmic—is the deep-seated cause leading to gig workers’ loneliness and powerlessness, which further triggers their job burnout. Joining WeChat groups and establishing “weak ties” are effective ways for gig workers to mitigate these issues. Second, based on three-stage data from 304 gig workers, we conducted quantitative research to further examine the relationships among online community interaction, loneliness, powerlessness, and job burnout. The results show that online community interaction can significantly alleviate gig workers’ feelings of loneliness and powerlessness; and via their mediating effects, reduce their job burnout.

The Impact Mechanism of Gig Workers’ Self-Leadership on Proactive Service Behavior from the Perspective of Social Cognitive Theory
ZHAN Xiaojun,WAN Yi,LI Zhicheng,ZHANG Mufan,WANG Zhen
Based on the social cognitive theory, this study explores the mechanism and boundary condition of the impact of self-leadership on proactive service behavior among gig workers. Through data analysis of 353 questionnaires collected at three phases, we get the results as follows: Gig workers’ self-leadership has a positive effect on their proactive service behavior; Role breadth self-efficacy mediates the positive relationship between gig workers’ self-leadership and proactive service behavior; Perceived algorithmic behavioral constraint not only mitigates the positive relationship between gig workers’ self-leadership and role breadth self-efficacy, but also mitigates the indirect effect of role breadth self-efficacy in the relationship between gig workers’ self-leadership and proactive service behavior.

The Impact of the Use of Enterprise Social Media Platforms on Organizational Identification of Employees from the Comparative Perspective of Online and Offline Social Networks
JIANG Jianwu,HU Jieyu,HUANG Xiaoxia
Based on social network theory, two independent studies are conducted to explore the mechanisms through which the use of enterprise social work platforms affects employee organizational identification from the comparative perspective of online and offline relationship networks. Study 1 employs a whole network analysis method to evaluate a management consulting firm with 50 employees and demonstrates that employees can establish an online interactive community network that is similar to or even superior to their offline community through the enterprise social work platform. Building on the understanding of how enterprise social work platforms influence the development of employees’ online social networks, Study 2 investigates the issue from the perspective of the functionalities these platforms offer. Using the ego-network analysis method and a questionnaire survey of 315 employees, this research further explores how these online platform features impact employees’ work experience and organizational perception. The findings indicate that, for online employees, both online and offline social network features collectively influence their work meaningfulness and organizational identification.

Research on the Impact of Non-Controlling Shareholders Network Location on Enterprise Innovation
YANG Zhonghai,XIU Xue,LI Yingmei
This study explores the effect and mechanism of the non-controlling shareholders network location on enterprise innovation based on the data of A-share listing firms in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2007 to 2020. The results show that the non-controlling shareholders network location can effectively promote enterprise innovation. To be specific, the results of the mechanism test show that the non-controlling shareholders network location promotes corporate innovation mainly by improving the internal financing ability, improving the human capital structure and reducing the double agency cost of enterprises, that is, the network location of non-controlling shareholders can exert the resource effect and supervision effect to promote enterprise innovation. Further analysis shows that the promotion effect of non-controlling shareholders network location on enterprise innovation is mainly reflected in non-state-owned enterprises, enterprises in areas with strong Confucian traditional culture and enterprises audited by the non-Big Four.

Research on the Mechanism and Effect of Green Digital Infrastructure Driving Urban Green Innovation
HAN Xianfeng,ZHENG Zhuoji,XU Jie,DONG Mingfang
Based on the panel data of 278 prefecture-level cities from 2010 to 2020, this study takes the green data center pilot implemented by the Chinese government in 2015 as a quasi-natural experiment, applying the double machine learning model to explore the internal mechanisms and multi-dimensional policy effects of green digital infrastructure on different types of green innovation. The study finds that green digital infrastructure effectively stimulates urban green innovation and shows obvious substantive green innovation preferences. The mechanism test shows that green digital infrastructure can indirectly drive the development of green innovation by improving energy efficiency, curbing pollution emissions, attracting digital talents and encouraging digital entrepreneurship. Further analysis shows that the green innovation effect of green digital infrastructure shows the heterogeneous empowerment characteristics of high-quality development zones>non-high-quality development zones, digital economic agglomeration zones>non-digital economic agglomeration zones and non-resource-based cities>resource-based cities.

A Study of the Impact of Competitor ESG Controversies on Corporate ESG Performance
YANG Youde,XU Guanghua,ZHONG Ma
This study examines the impact of competitor ESG controversies on the ESG performance of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2012 to 2020. The results show that competitor ESG controversies significantly improve focal firms’ ESG performance. Analyst attention strengthens this relationship, while corporate finance constraints weaken it. Competitor ESG controversies influence focal firms’ ESG performance by driving their motivations for competitive catching-up and risk avoidance, with competitive catching-up playing a crucial role. Furthermore, the effect of competitor ESG controversies on firms’ ESG performance is significant only in the maturity phase, not in the growth and decline stages.

Research on the Impact of Non-Controlling Large Shareholders on Corporate ESG Performance
BAI Xuelian,ZHAO Xin,HE Meng
Using Chinese A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2022 as the research sample, this study empirically examines the impact of non-controlling large shareholders on corporate ESG performance. The findings reveal that non-controlling large shareholders can enhance corporate ESG performance, with a higher shareholding percentage correlating with better governance outcomes. Mechanism analysis indicates that “governance effects” and “resource effects” are two pathways through which non-controlling large shareholders enhance corporate ESG performance. An analysis based on the heterogeneity of non-controlling large shareholder types suggests that long-term strategic non-controlling large shareholders have a stronger positive impact on corporate ESG performance than short-term profit-oriented non-controlling large shareholders. Moreover, the study finds that non-controlling large shareholders exert a positive influence on the social responsibility(S) and corporate governance(G) dimensions, while their impact on the environmental(E) dimension is relatively limited. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the influence of non-controlling large shareholders on corporate ESG performance is more pronounced in companies with lower levels of investor protection.

Unmet User Needs Mining Method Based on Web Forum Data
LI Yitong,XU Zhaoguang,DANG Yanzhong
To assist enterprises in improving their products, a two-stage user demand mining method based on online forum data is proposed. In the first stage, a convolutional neural network model is used to identify texts that contain unmet user demands. In the second stage, a Bi-directional Long Short-Term Memory Network-Conditional Random Field (BiLSTM-CRF) model is employed to extract user opinion quads (topic, object, attribute, attribute value) from the texts with unmet user demands and transform them into user demand quads (topic, object, attribute, expected attribute value). Experiments were conducted using data from a specific car series on the Autohome forum. The study shows that the mining method constructs a quad structure to represent user demands, demonstrates product features at a fine-grained level, and drills down into the details of the demand layer by layer to reduce the uncertainty of the demand and clarify the specific user needs, thereby enhancing the product ’s competitiveness. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are also demonstrated through comparisons with other methods.

Development of Patient Experience Measurement Scale for the Online Healthcare Context
WU Hong,WANG Chengcheng,SHEN Jingxuan
To elucidate the connotation and dimensions of patient experience within the context of online healthcare and to better assess and enhance the quality of healthcare services, this study, based on the online healthcare context and focused on the patient’s perspective, defines the connotation and dimension of patient experience. It develops a scientifically applicable patient experience measurement scale using the grounded theory and then combines exploratory factor analysis with confirmatory factor analysis to test the reliability and validity of the scale. The measurement scale includes five second-order dimensions (service process, service outcome, service cost, service continuity, and service environment), 13 first-order dimensions, and consists of 42 question items. Factor analysis results demonstrate that the scale exhibits good reliability and validity, thus establishing it as a valid tool for assessing patient experience in online healthcare contexts.

Measuring Public Perception of Service Safety During Major Public Health Events
BAI Weijing,ZUO Wenming,CHEN Feiyang,QIU Xinxin
This study employs grounded theory to conduct multi-level coding of data from Weibo, constructing a theoretical framework for service safety. Additionally, the BERT model is utilized to extract service safety information from another dataset, calculating a “Service Safety Perception Index” to quantify public’s perceptions level of service safety. The findings reveal that service safety encompasses three primary dimensions: physical safety, financial safety, and psychological safety. The theoretical framework of service safety covers seven core categories, with the first three being measures to protect service safety and the last four as conditions influencing the implementation of these measures. The comprehensive index and individual dimension indices of service safety experienced a dynamic pattern of initial fluctuations, gradual increases, slow declines to a trough, and eventual recovery following the relaxation of control measures. While the overall trend of the index of each dimension is consistent, variations exist in the specific changes across dimensions.

Green Design Decision and Coordination of Supply Chain Considering Environmental Responsibility Sharing
YAO Fengmin,YAN Yingluo,ZHANG Xiaoli,LI Yue
Based on two decision-making modes (retailer decision and cooperative decision) of environmental responsibility sharing, the supply chain game models of manufacturer and retailer jointly sharing environmental responsibility under three channel power structures are constructed. The influence of channel power and environmental responsibility cost sharing on supply chain operation coordination and environment is analyzed. The study shows that the retailer sharing a part of environmental responsibility costs is conducive to encouraging the manufacturer to improve green design level and the performance of itself and overall supply chain, but it is not always conducive to increasing the manufacturer’s profit. Moreover, compared to the retailer-leading and cooperative decision-making modes, under the manufacturer-leading mode and Nash equilibrium game, the optimal environmental responsibility cost sharing of the retailer decision-making mode is always lower and affected by the parameters related to green design. Regardless of the channel power structure, supply chain coordination of different environmental responsibility sharing modes can be achieved through fixed compensation fee contracts.

Low-Carbon Supply Chain Game Model and Contract Design Considering Government Subsidy under Yield Uncertainty
CAI Jianhu,YAN Ling,LI Yuting,FANG Gang
To explore the improvement scheme for a low-carbon supply chain’s operation performance under yield uncertainty and government subsidy, a game model consisting of one manufacturer with yield uncertainty and one retailer is constructed, where the manufacturer’s carbon emission reduction level is subsidized by the government. Based on comparison analysis of the low-carbon supply chain members’ equilibrium decisions and expected profits in the cases of decentralization, cost-sharing contract, and option contract, it is found that both cost-sharing contract and option contract can realize the Pareto improvement of the low-carbon supply chain under certain conditions. The numerical analysis further shows that, when the government subsidy coefficient and consumers’ low-carbon preference coefficient locate in different intervals, the low-carbon supply chain members’ preferences for the option contract and cost-sharing contract may be different.

Research on Decision-Making of Pricing and Obtaining Traffic in Live Supply Chain Considering the Influence of the Streamer
QIN Juanjuan,LIU Congxian,WANG Yanan,XIA Liangjie
Based on the influence of the streamer, this paper discusses three methods of traffic acquisition: self-operation, platform purchase and hybrid, and constructs a Stackelberg master-slave game. This paper analyses the impact of different traffic acquisition modes on the pricing and traffic decision-making of the main suppliers, streamers and platforms in the live supply chain. The study also explores the impact of streamer influence and other parameters on the decision-making and profits of each entity. The result finds that: ①The three traffic acquisition methods can achieve the same optimal sales volume. However, in the mixed mode, the product can get higher price, and the profit of the supplier is maximum. ②If the product price elasticity is greater, the streamers choose mixed traffic acquisition mode to sell such products can gain higher profits. ③The supplier’s profit is positively correlated with the streamer’s influence, while the relationship between the profit of the streamer and the influence is an inverted U-shaped. The relationship between the platform profit and streamer influence changes depending on the traffic channel chosen by the streamer.

Current Status and Prospects of the Contribution of Chinese Context in International Academic Journals to B2B Marketing Theory
ZHANG Chuang,GUO Le
This study reviews 469 articles on the Chinese context in B2B marketing, published in 13 international mainstream marketing academic journals. It provides a detailed account of the journal distribution, publication time, and trend of literature in this field, as well as an analysis of the main academic forces. On this basis, this study employs a context-based analysis approach to assess the empirical articles on the theoretical contribution of the Chinese context to B2B marketing research. This assessment is conducted from three perspectives: “what”, “how” and “why”. Additionally, the study delves into the theoretical contribution of highly context-based empirical articles, exploring their unique insights in greater depth. It was found that a number of articles included a certain degree of Chinese contextualization, including the variables, the relationships between them, and the logic behind the relationships. Furthermore, it revealed new concepts, new relationships, and key mechanisms within the Chinese context. Ultimately, given the shortcomings in the existing research, a prospective outlook is presented on the future trajectory of Chinese highly context-based B2B marketing research.
