Ways to Fill the Gap between Management Research and Practice
CHEN Chunhua
The obstacle of management development is that management research cannot fit the practice and scholars in China are also puzzled about the ways to fill such gap. So first, this paper proposes that management research and practice have the same origin by reviewing the truth of management study; second, this paper concludes that such gap comes from the disagreement between management research and practice, then this paper finds out that pinpointing real problem is the bridge to fill that gap; at last, this paper concludes the “two in and two out” methodology and suggestions on effective communication to show the expectations on the future of management research in China.

A Study on the Entrepreneurial Growth Based on the Integration of Opportunity and Resource
GAO Yang,YE Dan
The research breaks through the vein of entrepreneurship ambidexterity theory, presents a brand new concept of “opportunity-resource integration”, and interprets that entrepreneur behavior is actually a behavior of opportunity-resource integration. So, according to this perspective, on the basis of reasonable construction of opportunity resource integration system, this study employs multiple sets of case analysis system to explore the mechanism of “opportunity-resource integration” in the process of entrepreneurship, and creatively constructs the flow diagram of entrepreneurship based on the “opportunity-resource integration”.

Is the Western Management a Pure Science? ——An Analysis from the View of Class
GONG Jiangang,GONG Zuwen
Western management academic research has always emphasized its academic position of science in the past half century. However, in my view, it is not a pure science as western scholars have claimed because of its nature of class. In this paper, five scholars and their academic positions will be discussed and the paper will tell us that the economic base of the capitalism has played an important role in the formation of western management science. Some scholars, such as Frederic Taylor and Henri Fayol, are important in the history of western management science, because their theories have been complied with the economic base of the capitalism. On the contrary, though Mary Parker Follett and Oliver Sheldon are famous for their profound thinking, they have been marginalized in the history of western management science, because their thinking was against the economic base of the capitalism. So western management is not a science like physics, it is a part of the capitalism ideology.

The Conception and Mechanism of Constructive Challenging Behavior: A Followership-Based Perspective
SONG Jiwen,GUO Yirong,XU Dahai,LUO Wenhao,WANG Yue1
In the framework of Followership Theory, based on in-depth interviews and two empirical studies, this paper firstly proposed the concept of constructive challenging behavior, then distinguished it with other related concepts by qualitative and quantitative methods, and finally developed the five-item scale to measure constructive challenging behavior. In addition, this research further revealed the following findings: ①ethical leadership and employee constructive challenging behavior are positively related; ②ethical leadership and employee career development are positively correlated; ③constructive challenging behavior partially meditates the positive relationship between ethical leadership and their career development; ④further, there exists a moderated mediation of constructive challenging behavior, that is, when task performance is low, the negative relationship between constructive challenging behavior and career development is stronger, and the indirect effect of ethical leadership on career development via constructive challenging behavior is significantly stronger. Our findings initiate and develop the concept of “constructive challenging behavior” from a followership-based perspective, enriching and expanding the understanding of follower’s behaviors, and help organizations deal with employee constructive challenging behavior more reasonably.

Middle-Level Formal Status and Employee Job Performance: The Moderated Effect of Leader-Member Exchange
DENG Chuanjun,LIU Zhiqiang,QIU Honghua
Based on the theory of rational behavior, this research has discussed and compared the employee innovative-dominated and routine-dominated performance of different formal status levels, and has empirical tested the moderated effect of leader-member exchange (LMX). A data analysis of 715 dyadic sample and 12 human resource management departments shows that 1) the middle-level status employees’ innovative-dominated performance is lower than the other members, and their routine-dominated performance is in the middle; 2) LMX moderates the relationships between formal status and individual innovative-dominated and routine-dominated performance in respectively. Specifically, the middle-level status employee’s innovative-dominated performance increases the most, and the routine-dominated performance increases the middle under the moderated effect of high LMX. At last, the policy suggestions are made based on the conclusions, and the future directions are also provided.

The Impact of Enterprise’s Inbound Open Innovation on Radical Innovation Performance
ZHANG Zhengang,WANG Hualing,CHEN Zhiming,GAO Xiaobo
Based on the survey of 317 enterprises in South China, this study empirically examines the direct effect of inbound open innovation, the dual moderating effect of centralization of decision-making and intellectual property protection. The results reveal that both inbound open innovation and intellectual property protection have a significantly positive linear effect on radical innovation performance, and higher centralization of decision-making can enhance the effect which inbound open innovation has on radical innovation performance. Furthermore, intellectual property protection, centralization of decision-making and inbound open innovation have a significantly positive 3-way interaction effect on radical innovation performance, which suggests that when intellectual property protection is better, higher centralization of decision-making may bring in a stronger moderating effect of inbound open innovation on radical innovation performance.

Research on the Spatial-Temporal Differences and Convergence of Green Innovation Capacity in China
LIU Zhangsheng,SONG Deyong,GONG Yuanyuan
This study calculates the green innovation capacity from 2003 to 2013 using the global SBM directional distance function and global Malmquist-Luenberger (GML) productivity index and analyzes its spatial-temporal evolution rule and convergence. The results indicate that China’s green innovation GML index shows a rise in general, and technological progress is the key factor affecting the green innovation capacity. From the view of spatial-temporal evolution, China’s green innovation capacity shows a regular wave of convergence, differentiation, and convergence. China’s green innovation has σ convergence and β convergence, which has positive market effect, regulation effect and support effect, negative structure effect and open effect as well. In order to promote China’s and regional green innovation capacity, strategies such as actively cultivating technology trading market, guiding the industrial upgrading, improving environmental regulations and committing the scientific research funds should be taken. In addition, it is encouraged to scientifically distribute the foreign business and investment, and to restrict access of those high polluted and high energy consumed industries.

Business Group, Vertical Interlock and Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure
DONG Xiaojie,CHEN Xin,NA Chaohong
In this study, we use the corporate social responsibility disclosure (CSRD) data of listed companies in China from 2010 to 2014 to explore the relationship between vertical interlock and CSRD in the business group. We find that companies in business group tend to disclose CSR information but vertical interlock will hinder the disclosure of CSR and impact the quality of CSRD. However, the relationship mentioned above can only be observed in the state-owned companies and a higher position of interlocked director in stated-owned business group will lead to a lower desire to disclose CSR. We explain the phenomenon based on the capability of the interlocked director to access resources and the sufficiency of resources in the business group with different ownership.

Research on the Energy Consumption Inequality Based on Nonparametric Method
CHEN Si
With the Gene coefficient as a reference, this study attempts to use quantitative analysis tools proposed by Zenga to estimate the degree of energy consumption difference and changing process among the 109 countries from 1971~2014 by nonparametric methods . The empirical results show that: ①the state power consumption imbalance is seriously, but it has declined after a long period of fluctuation, which indicates that international cooperation on climate change may be further strengthened; ②the parameter estimation of electricity consumption inequality considering population weights is lower than not taking population weights into account, which indicates that the population of a country should be taken into consideration while designing international environmental governance system and the framework of joint actions.

Resource Conditions and Internal Mechanism of Supplier’s Ingredient Brand Value Formation: An Exploratory Analysis Based on Multiple Cases
LI Guihua,ZHANG Huilong,HUANG Lei
From the perspective of Resource-Based View, this study explored the resource condition for the formation of supplier’s ingredient brand value by using case study method. The research showed that the resource condition for the formation of supplier’s ingredient brand value includes two types: property right resources and ability resources. Among them, the property right resources include special product, brand image and technological advantages, and the ability resources include terminal market influence, customer service ability and relationship adaptability. And these six factors are composed of 3 sub-factors. At the same time, these resources will enhance the purchase intention of manufacturers and consumers by enhancing ingredient brand value. This study deepens the theory of ingredient brand, which provides a theoretical basis for the supplier to enhance the brand value through ingredient branding strategy.

Research on Trust Formation Mechanism in P2P Lending Platform
DONG Jichang,WANG Guoliang,SHA Siying,MIAO Jinyu,LI Xiuting
In recent years, the rapid development of P2P platform and different types of P2P products lead to many problems. In order to study the determinants of investors’ decision-making behavior and the dynamic effect path, this study comes up with two sets of questionnaires based on whether the investor has investment experience on P2P platform, and proposes the initial trust and continuous trust models respectively, to conduct the empirical analysis from the micro perspective. The results show that there are obvious differences between these two kinds of trust mechanisms. The initial trust of investors pays more attention to the construction, management and reputation of the platform, while the continuous trust is more effected by the actual perception of the investment process. At the same time, the effect mechanisms of two models reflect the investors’ rationales arising during the process of investment.

Pricing of Innovative Product with Cost Information Disclosure and Strategic Consumer Behavior
TANG Xuan,ZHENG Xiaona
Prices often serve as signals of firms’ innovative product cost types due to asymmetric cost information, and thus impact consumers’ expectation of future prices and purchasing decisions. We construct a game-theoretic model under perfect and imperfect information respectively to study how cost information disclosure affects consumers’ purchasing behavior as well as the firm’s optimal pricing strategy and profit. It is found that when cost is the firm’s private information, if the probability of the firm being a low-cost type is high or the difference in costs between the two types of firms is large, the high-cost firm prefers to separate itself from the low-cost firm, otherwise it prefers the pooling pricing strategy. Cost information disclosure will lower the firm’s expected price but increase both the firm’s expected profit and the expected consumer surplus. Moreover, when all consumers are non-strategic, the firm will price higher and obtain more profits.

Government Subsidy Mechanism in Agricultural Supply Chain Based on Agricultural Insurance
YU Xing,ZHANG Weiguo,LIU Yongjun
This study firstly sets up three-phase (including agribusiness firms, retailers and government) Stackelberg game model under government subsidy mechanism. Then, the explicit expressions of the optimal production size decided by the agribusiness firms, the purchasing price decided by the retailers and the subsidy rate decided by the government are derived respectively. Moreover, the effects of model parameters on the interest of three parties are presented. Finally, an example is analyzed with respective to three crop insurance of wheat, corn and cotton in Shandong Province. It is found that the expected profits of agribusiness firms and retailers and the social welfare increase with the government subsidy rate, but decrease with the bank loan interest rate. Furthermore, on account of the comparison among the old and new insurance mechanism of three kinds of crops in Shandong Province, it yields that government insurance subsidy is the key factor to improve the income of the three parties under different probabilities of natural condition. And, the three party incomes are the biggest under the new insurance mechanism with government subsidy. The agribusiness firms are suggested to decrease risk and increase profit by buying agricultural insurance when the government provide them subsidy policy.

ZHANG Lianying,LI Yanwei,CHEN Xi,TANG Ziwei
In order to investigate the impetuses of knowledge management process (KMP) on lean tools effectiveness, this study first took knowledge acquisition, knowledge transformation and knowledge utilization as three dimensions of KMP based on the theory of “knowledge process”; then the Structural Equation Modeling was adopted to verify the mediation effect of KMP between lean tools and lean performance. The results show that lean tools have a positive effect on lean performance through the mediation of KMP, indicating the essential role of KMP in lean implementation. Therefore, project managers should strengthen the acquisition, transformation and utilization of knowledge in the process of implementing lean tools in order to fulfill lean tools great potential for improving lean performance.

Research on Fairness Concerns of Contractor in Construction Projects Based on Contractual Reference Point Effect——The Case Study of Metro Projects
YAN Ling,ZHANG Zhudong,YAN Min,DENG Jiaojiao
On the basis of contractual reference point effect, construction contract can be taken as reference point to identify and determine fairness concerns which can induce contractor’s fairness perception. Through a two-stage content analysis, this study encoded clauses of typical metro construction contracts, and identified seven fairness concerns which influence contractor’s fairness perception. It shows that clauses of risk responsibility, risk compensation and risk return can cause contractors’ distributive fairness perception. Clauses of participation in decision-making and rights restriction can influence contractors’ procedural fairness perception. Clauses of two-way communication and coordination can influence contractors’ interactional fairness perception.
