Abstract The leader’s value has important influence on the effectiveness of leadership. Combined with management practice, this paper reviews and summarizes the important research on leader’s value within one hundred years at home and abroad from the perspective of the main development thread of leadership theory and leadership in the conceptual level. Then practical guidance of study on leader’s value is given. Finally, the paper puts forward some suggestions on the future research of leader’s value.
