In the 4th “Symposium on the Study of Management in China”, scholars, around the conference theme of “Retrospect and Prospect on the Occasion of 100th Anniversary”, focused on the following two key issues: retrospect and prospect of the theory of western management, retrospect and prospect of the development of management theory in China. In addition, scholars also discussed the following four topics in the special seminars: management philosophy, leadership, management of government and nonprofit organization, management of business organization. In this paper the topics of discussion are reviewed, and at the end, the characteristics of this symposium are summarized.
