Abstract The thesis puts forward a business management theory from an entrepreneur perspective, which is defined as Holistic Management Theory. Different from Management Science or Scientific Management, Holistic Management focused more on the role of the brain of an entrepreneur, especially the effect of the will, faith, enthusiasm and trust. Different from the common faith in the mechanism to ensure the normal operation of an enterprise, which is so called modern enterprise system, Holistic Management unveils some logical drawbacks and application constraint of this system. Different from General Equilibrium Economics, we argue that an excellent entrepreneur see the market imbalance in both time and space dimensions, therefore can speculate well. Different from the faith in system, an excellent entrepreneur trust his team more. Hence, Holistic Management concludes, Management Science is technology, not management. We also argue that Scientific Management deals with rules and standards rather than the art of leadership. What is modernized in western enterprises is not management but technology.
