The Influencing Factors and Paths of the Strategic Roles Evolution of the Corporations Attached to Multinational Companies in China

Abstract  

The strategic roles evolutions of the corporations attached to from  world’s500 top multinational companies in China were investigated through literature review and the questionnaire. It was found that according to functional scope and competence, the subsidiaries in China were divided into four types and their strategic evolution paths classified four ones. The factors influencing the roles evolution are the choice of subsidiaries, the decisions made by parent companies and environmental stimulus.
