Abstract

Established is the model of Learning Organization Organizational System (LO-OS), which is composed of five subsystems including: (1) development and learning oriented leadership, (2) robust and excellent organizational vision and goal, (3) systematic learning practice and system, (4) common and harmony interest relationship, and (5) people oriented organizational culture. By combination of LO-OS with LO-CS (Learning Organization Capability System), the Learning Organization Holistic System (LO-HS) is obtained and the relationship between the LO-OS and LO-CS is analyzed. Learning Organization Organizational System Questionnaire (LO-OSQ) is developed. A sample of 233 Chinese firms has been obtained and used to statistically test both the reliability and validity of the LO-OSQ. It is found that the LO-OSQ has both good reliability and validity, and each of its five subsystems is significantly associated with organizational learning capability (OLC) and organizational performance (OP).
