Abstract The actuality,effect and dominant effect of value congruence between Chinese employees and organizations were explored by the Organizational Values Questionnaire which developed in the context of Chinese culture. 399 valid data were analyzed. The result indicated that (1) the differences between employees' values and organizations' values are obvious; (2) value congruence is positively related to job satisfaction and has a negative effect on turnover intention; (3) value congruence has shown the dominant effect of 'Performance' and 'Social Responsibility' when predicts employees' attitude and behavior.
