Abstract

In certain historic-social condition, Cantonese merchants have their own unique cultural characteristics. Since the reform and opening up, the rise of new Cantonese merchants is a succession and continuity to the tradition of culture of Cantonese merchants. Compared with the Western Christian businessmen, Cantonese Merchants have obvious difference and manifest the ethos of Chinese “Happy Sense Culture”. It may be a viable way to analyze the cultural phenomenon of Cantonese merchants from the perspective of Chinese HappySense culture.
