Abstract

Firstly, mainly based on 8 indicators which impact home countries' technology spillover and host countries' absorptive capacity, this paper sorts 26 U.S.-spillover-recipient countries in comprehensive order through Factor Analysis and selects 11 from those countries as the major recipients. Secondly, after description of the measurement of technology knowledge stock (TKS) and technology absorptive capacity, this paper calculates the TKS of the 11 major countries via three channels of imports, FDI and disembodied spillover, taking US as single spillover origin. Finally, this paper studies the Generalized Cobb-Douglas production function with total TKS of the 11 countries. The results indicate that the U.S. International Technology Spillover plays a positive role in the economy development of all these countries.
