A Study on the Mechanism of the Impact of Fear of Failure on Entrepreneurial Resilience

Abstract  This study aims to analyze how entrepreneurs use effective coping strategies to shape entrepreneurial resilience from the perspective of fear of failure is analyzed based on the emotional cognitive appraisal evaluation theory and coping theory. The hypothesis and theoretical model were tested on the research data of 308 entrepreneurs. The result shows that:that entrepreneurs with lower fear of failure exhibit stronger entrepreneurial resilience;problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping are key paths to enhance entrepreneurial resilience. In addition, the study also found that entrepreneurs with lower fear of failure are more inclined to optimize emotion-focused coping through problem-focused coping, which in turn has a positive impact on entrepreneurial resilience.
