Abstract Based on the phenomenon of leader-member collusion in workplace, this study proposed the construct of leader-member joint deviance and developed a measurement scale. Furthermore, a nomological network was constructed to examine the relationship between leader-member joint deviance and antecedents. The results indicate that there are two dimensions of leader-member joint deviance, i.e.,“favoritism” and “partnership destruction”, and the corresponding measurement scale was developed to consist of 2 factors and 10 items. The factor analysis results indicate that the reliability and validity of the newly developed scale have reached the ideal level. In addition, the test of nomological network relationship shows that the subordinates’ Machiavellianism trait is positively correlated with the supervisors’ error risk taking tendency and the preference tendency on the frequency of leader-member joint deviance.
