Abstract Based on the interview materials of 46 outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs and grounded theoretical analysis, this study summarizes the specific connotation of entrepreneurship at the “individual, organization, and society” levels, namely individual characteristics, management mode, and environmental interaction. Besides, it proposes a theoretical framework of Chinese entrepreneurship in the new era, and provides certain theoretical guidance and practical inspiration for exploring the stimulation of entrepreneurial spirit in the local context of China. Specifically, the personal traits at the individual level play the role of value guidance; the management modes at the organizational level have the characteristics of combination of “Tao” and “Shu”, and the environmental interactions at the social level reflect the idea of ecological win-win.
