Abstract This study intends to further promote the domestic research progress by combing the relevant international literature. Firstly, this study reviews the conceptual evolution of spin-off entrepreneurship. Secondly, through literature retrieval and coding, this study classifies the spin-off entrepreneurship literature into two perspectives, namely the new venture perspective and the incumbent enterprise perspective, and reviews the existing spin-off entrepreneurship research issues from the two perspectives. Thirdly, this study summarizes the current research based on the literature review and prospects the future research.
