Abstract Using the case study method, this study focuses on the introduction process of the employment mode of independent contractors in two enterprises, and discusses the dynamic mechanism of the flexible employment mode of independent contractors from the theoretical perspective of organizational reform. The research finds that the three-dimensional model of organizational change dynamics based on “situational dynamics-triggering dynamics-enabling dynamics” can effectively explain the change process of the flexible employment mode of independent contractors. Among them, situational motivation provides the situational basis for the change of flexible employment mode, triggering motivation is the “trigger” of the change of flexible employment mode of independent contractors, and enabling motivation provides the “soil” for the change of flexible employment mode of independent contractors. In addition, when a company introduces the flexible employment mode of independent contractors, the linkage mechanism among different influencing factors evolves into many dynamic mechanisms, that is, situational force acts on the change of flexible labor mode through triggering force, and enabling force regulates the functional relationship between triggering force and flexible labor mode.
