Research on Pricing Strategy and Coordination of Medical Service Supply Chain Based on Patient Choice

Abstract  In the fact that patients waiting time is longer and the medical service price is chaos, a medical service supply chain model which constitutes of patients, medical institutions and government is built. Based on the patients’ preferences and different waiting time, the optimal pricing strategy and coordination mechanism are analyzed. The result shows that compared with the decentralized decision making, medical institutions cooperation referral system can reduce patient waiting and improve medical consultations, but patients’ utility is declined. While the centralized decision-making under the leading of government can increase patients’ utility and achieve supply chain coordination, by using the preservation cost & revenue sharing contract.
