Abstract  A growing number of studies showed that ethical leadership has a positive impact on employees’ ethical behavior. However, it remains to be discussed whether ethical leadership influences employees’ helping behavior. In order to explore the relationship between ethical leadership and employees’ helping behavior, this study examined the mediating mechanisms of other-focused ethical climate and moral identity by adopting social cognition theory. From a sample of self-reported 285 employees from 15 corporations in Macau, it was found that ethical leadership can shape employees’ moral identity through creating other-focused ethical climate and further stimulate their helping behavior in the environment of chinese organization.
