Abstract In order to explore the dynamics of tacit knowledge research in China, 865 papers on tacit knowledge were got from 1998 to 2017, using Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) as the data source. With the help of CiteSpace V and other software, this study analyzed the features and hotspots of tacit knowledge field by bibliometric method. Three research fronts were concluded in tacit knowledge research: development and utilization of tacit knowledge, tacit knowledge sharing in the library, and tacit knowledge sharing in the virtual scientific research team.
