The Impact of Enterprise Commitment and Union Commitment on Employee Voice Behavior |

Abstract From the integrated perspective of human resource management and industrial relations, the study introduced union commitment as a new influencing factor and explored the differential effects of employees’ different organizational commitment on their voice behavior. We used hierarchical regressions method to test the model with data from 244 employees from 30 enterprises in Anhui Province and Jiangsu Province. The results revealed that enterprise commitment has a positive effect on both promotive voice and prohibitive voice; union commitment is a new important antecedent variable of voice behavior,and has a positive effect on both promotive voice and prohibitive voice; union commitment has greater positive impacts on both promotive voice and prohibitive voice compared to enterprise commitment.
