Abstract Nowadays, most people pay more attention to environmental protection and enterprise soft power competition, green innovation is an important way for enterprise sustainable development and obtaining competitive advantage. Based on Natural-resource-based view (NRBV) theory, leadership theory and organizational identity theory, and by conducting empirical study of 224 agricultural enterprises, we found that environmental leadership has positive impact on environmental organizational culture, green organizational identity has a positive mediating effect on the relationship between environmental leadership and corporate green innovation performance, and green organizational identity has a positive mediating effect on the relationship between environmental organizational culture and corporate green innovation performance. External pressure has a positive moderating effect between green organizational identity and corporate green innovation, however, internal barriers has a negative moderating effect between green organizational identity and corporate green innovation performance. Moreover, we test the moderation-mediation effect.
