Abstract As an important theoretical len, “Time” is always neglected in organization and management research. Along with the deepening of organizational time research, “temporal len” has shifted from abstract and macro discussion to specific themes in given research fields, reflecting the toolized and variational tendency. In such context,it’s necessary to reflect the dimensions and attributes of time in organization and management research. Based on phenomenon, perspective, variable and methods, this paper points out the unique values of temporal len in organization and management research. Then, this paper clarifies the structural and interpretive dimensions of time,as well as the sub-dimensions, and investigate the interaction between different dimensions and sub dimensions. Next,this paper explores the temporal attributes under different temporal dimensions. At last, this paper makes prospects for future research. This paper lays solid conceptual basis of further temporal research in organization and management.
