The present study constructed a theoretical model exploring the influence that alliance portfolio partner diversity has on innovation performance, and identified innovative search intensity and alliance routine as two moderators that influence the relationship mentioned above. The results show that diverse alliance partners is an important source of technology innovation activities, and in the process of the alliance portfolio source transforming into innovation performance, innovative search intensity and alliance routine have significant moderating effects.
