Abstract In the view of resource support, this study focuses on the role of bricolage as a mediating construct between ambidextrous innovation and firm performance. Results from 288 firm level questionnaires indicate that the process of bricolage not only creates exploratory new service from handy resources, but also makes fully exploitative recombination of existing resource. By doing so, bricolage enables firms to capitalize benefits of both exploration and exploitation innovation, and plays a mediating role between ambidextrous innovation and firm performance.
