Abstract By constructing the ambidextrous alliance network based on NK model and social network, and using the methods of computer simulation and statistical regression analysis, this paper examines the combined effects of alliance network structure and technological interdependence on the innovative performance of ambidextrous technological alliances network. The results show that the characteristic of network closure has a positive effect on the short term innovative performance, while it exerts a negative influence on the long term innovative performance. However, smallworld properties have the opposite effects on both long and short term innovative performance. In addition, there is always a negative relationship between technological interdependence and innovative performance. Finally, technological interdependence negatively moderates the effects of network closure and smallworld properties on the level of short term innovative performance.
