A Model for Assessing the Innovative Competence of Personnel in Firms: Qualitative Study Based on Data from China Mobile Telecommunication Corporation

Abstract  

By reviewing the existing literature on the competence of innovative people, this study refined the five key features of innovative personality and revealed their internal connections. A tentative model was proposed to help firms understand the competence of their innovative people. Through interviews with employees from China Mobile Telecommunication Corporation, the proposed model was further modified by adding two occupation related factors asspecific, which were specific job skills and position ranking.
