Does Total Factor Productivity Growth Result from Biased Technical Change?

Abstract  This study estimates total factor productivity growth based on the extension of CES production function, and discusses the impact of biased technical change on factor structure and total factor productivity growth, proving that biased technical change will change the factor structure and total factor productivity. It also shows : a) the level of capitalbiased technical change declines year by year; b) this trend of biased technical change has accelerated total factor productivity growth; c) the suitability of biased technical change and factor structure enhance yearly, which is beneficial to improve total factor productivity.
