Influencing Factor for Service Innovation in Manufacturing Firms

Abstract  The paper uses 81 firms in central and eastern China as sample to verify whether human resource investment, information technology introduction and good customer relationship have effects on manufacturing service innovation. We found that service innovation have been carried out in one third of the enterprises in 2011, and the empirical results show that the above three factors are positively related to the enterprise service innovation performance. We also found that these factors have different degree of influence on the product and process innovation. In addition, the R&D investment scale and technical level for enterprise also has certain different effect on service innovation performance.
