The Independent Directors’ Identity Impact on Enterprise Performance

Abstract  

This research defines identity characteristics of independent directors as independent director’s age, gender, education, job title and political background. It makes empirical analysis based on China small board of listed companies to explore impacts of these identity characteristics on enterprise performance. Finally it offers some proposals to listed companies according to the research results.
